I am a highly experienced (over 4 decades) clinical social worker with diverse clinical interests and a unique career background that began in college mental health (Columbia University’s main campus). Even my work at Columbia, which evolved into an extensive career, was diverse and gave me expertise in a number of areas including focused short-term treatment, risk assessment, and coordination with services in the community. I enjoy writing professionally and am currently working on a book for children with an adoption theme.
Other areas of interest include advocacy for adequate mental health coverage in all insurance plans; advocacy in adoption reform; children’s rights, including education for girls abroad; advocacy for humane handling by family law of families in custody litigation; and protection of our fragile planet.
